Beaches

The beaches of Pellegrin, Léoube, Estagnol, Cabasson, and Brégancon are among the most beautiful in the region. The magnificent coastal path runs along all these beaches and starts at Argentière beach, just 15 minutes from Villa Rhea.

Golf

Nestled in the heart of the Massif des Maures, the Valcros Golf Club stretches its 18 holes across 50 hectares along the Maravenne stream, through a cork oak forest dotted with olive trees and oleanders. Located between Saint-Tropez and Toulon, this exceptional course combines wild Provençal surroundings with technical challenge.

Facing south-east, sheltered from the wind and gently rolling, the course demands skill and precision with its blind tee shots, narrow fairways, and numerous out-of-bounds areas — a true challenge for seasoned players and improving amateurs alike.

The club also features a hotel, a restaurant, tennis courts, and a swimming pool, so the pleasure extends well beyond the green.

Whether with family, as a couple, or with friends, kayaks, stand-up-paddles, dinghies, and catamarans bring the waters to life right across from the Îles d'Or.

Scuba Diving Underwater enthusiasts can discover diving for the first time or refine their skills in the waters of the Port-Cros National Park, explore shipwrecks, and go snorkeling along the coast.

Sailing The Centre Nautique Londais, based at the Tamaris marina at Port Miramar, offers year-round courses and camps for children from age 4 and adults: Optimist dinghies, catamarans, windsurfing, and wingfoil, all led by qualified instructors.

Vineyards

The Côtes de Provence La Londe appellation produces fine and elegant wines from hillside vineyards facing the sea and the Îles d'Or. Around forty estates open their doors for tastings and cellar tours, several of which line the Route de Valcros that leads you to Villa Rhea:
Château Sainte-Marguerite
— Cru Classé des Côtes-de-Provence
Château Maravenne
— Organic vines, AOP Côtes de Provence
Château La Valetanne — Organically farmed on clay-schist soils
Château des Bormettes
— Surrounded by garrigue and preserved forest

Porquerolles

The largest of the Îles d'Or, Porquerolles stretches nearly 7 kilometers in a crescent shape and has been designated a National Park Core Zone since 2012. Cars are a rare sight, giving way to cyclists and walkers: pine-lined paths wind their way to stunning beaches with breathtakingly vivid waters.

Plage Notre-Dame, voted the most beautiful beach in Europe, and Plage d'Argent, perfect for families, are among the island's most treasured spots. Fort Sainte-Agathe, the lighthouse, the vineyards, and the Fondation Carmignac — which hosts contemporary art exhibitions — round out a day full of discovery.

To get there, you can take a ferry from Port Miramar in La Londe-les-Maures with Les Bateliers de la Côte d'Azur.

Port-Cros

Port-Cros is the wildest of the Îles d'Or. Covering 700 hectares, it forms the heart of the first marine national park created in Europe, established in 1963. No cars, not even bicycles — just peace and serenity.

Its marked trails wind between secluded beaches and steep cliffs, through an extraordinary wealth of wildlife and plant life.

A must-do, the Palud underwater trail allows visitors to independently explore the Mediterranean seabed with nothing more than a mask and fins. Divers, meanwhile, will find world-renowned spots including the Gabinière rock, famous for its grouper fish.

An exceptional escape, just 30 minutes by boat from Le Lavandou.

La Londe-les-Maures

A genuine, human-scale coastal resort, La Londe offers a full range of amenities: shops, restaurants, bakeries, and supermarkets.

Every Sunday morning, the Provençal market in the town center brings together local producers, seasonal fruits and vegetables, olive oil, cheeses, and spices. In summer, the Bormettes market awakes the Place Françoise Belot every Tuesday morning.

AOC Côtes de Provence wines, award-winning olive oil, flowers, and aromatic herbs are the pride of a unique terroir with the unmistakable scents of Provence.

Le Lavandou

A former fishing village nestled at the foot of the Massif des Maures, Le Lavandou stretches along 12 km of coastline facing the Îles d'Or, with 12 magnificent fine sandy beaches. Its pedestrian town center welcomes craft shops, food stores, and restaurants throughout the year.

The Provençal market takes place every Thursday morning year-round — fresh produce, regional specialties, and handcrafted goods in a charming, picturesque atmosphere. In summer, an organic market is added every Sunday morning, and the Cavalière market brings additional life to Mondays from June through September.

Medieval Villages

Listed among the Plus Beaux Villages de France (Most Beautiful Villages in France), Le Castellet is a proud Provençal medieval village perched on its hilltop, surrounded by endless vineyards and olive groves. Tucked behind its ramparts and accessible only through two fortified gateways, it invites visitors to wander through its winding lanes, shaded squares, and artisan shops. It also served as the backdrop chosen by Marcel Pagnol for his 1938 film La Femme du Boulanger.

Facing Le Castellet, clinging dramatically to its clifftop, La Cadière d'Azur enchants with its archways, narrow streets, and sweeping panoramic views over the vineyards and the Sainte-Baume massif.

Two villages well worth a day trip, located approximately 45 minutes from La Londe-les-Maures.

Saint-Tropez

A former fishing village turned legendary destination, the harbor displays the most luxurious yachts in the Mediterranean while local fishermen still moor their boats along the quayside. Chic boutiques rub shoulders with the Provençal market on Place des Lices — this dual identity is the very essence of Saint-Tropez's charm.

The colorful Ponche quarter, with its ochre and pink-walled alleyways, the 17th-century Citadelle with its breathtaking views over the Mediterranean, and the Musée de l'Annonciade are among the must-sees. Pampelonne beach stretches for 5 kilometers, offering a mix of lively private beach clubs and peaceful public areas.

Ramatuelle

A preserved gem nestled on a hillside, Ramatuelle overlooks a landscape of vineyards that slope gently down to the legendary Pampelonne beach. Its medieval village captivates with its spiraling lanes adorned with bougainvillea, vaulted passageways, and rich heritage, from the Saracen gate to the Notre-Dame church.

The unspoiled coves of L'Escalet and Cap Taillat offer truly exceptional scenery.
